As mentioned in a previous post Trading Depot has been having some building work carried out over the last few weeks. The slideshow below shows just part of the build process, with the old wooden mezzanine floor being replaced by a full metal one with offices constructed upstairs.
A big thank you to our customers who have sometimes had to put up with the sound of drilling or hammering down the telephone. The staff at Trading Depot have sometimes had to work in less than ideal conditions, with improvised lighting in the warehouse and no windows, doors or ceiling in parts of the office. And whilst everyone in the company has just got on with their jobs despite any disruptuions it is safe to say that they will be glad when the work is finally finished.
Customer service has been kept at its usual high level throughout this period as a quick glance at our reviews will confirm. Orders have continued to be sent out within normal timescales all across the country. Whether it’s a large order for a full bathroom suite or pallet of underfloor heating or something much smaller like a shower hose or replacement shower cartridge you can rest assured that ALL orders are important to us and we will always treat our customers accordingly.
The man behind the building work
Local Builder Robert Lane has been on site contantly for the last few weeks constructing the new offices, fitting the doors and windows and installing the suspended ceiling, transforming the bare open warehouse space into a comfortable new working environment for the Trading Depot office team.
Trading Depot do not usually endorse Tradesmen but when you can see firsthand the quality of his work it’s very easy to give a recommendation. Rob’s main work includes built In furniture, carpentry, door fitting/hanging, granite worktops and standard worktops, joinery, kitchen appliance supplying, kitchen designing, kitchen door fitting, kitchen fitting in general and wooden/timber structures but is also skilled in a number of different areas.
Anyone wishing to find out more should take a lok at Rob’s ‘Checkatrade’ webpage.
Mat Miller, Director of Trading Depot said of the building work:
The construction of the mezzanine floor allows us to increase stock capacity substantially and the move to a bigger office space will allow for future expansion and enable us to work more efficiently and I am very happy with the progress so far.
Staff pitch in for the final push
As the buidling work nears completion Trading Depot staff have been helping to get things finished by assisting with sanding, painting and general tidying.
If they do a really good job, maybe we’ll consider hiring them out locally!!
On a serious note though if any other Tradesmen (or women) would like a mention on our blog, just send in some pictures of projects you have completed using products from Trading Depot and we’ll be more than happy to give you and your company a quick mention online. Just email firstname.lastname@example.org with the details .
