Key Features of the Warmup Loose wire Underfloor Heating Kits
Easy to Install
Once the subfloor is clean, dry and smooth, installing the loose wire system from Warmup couldn’t be easier. The perimeter and heater spacing should be marked using the guide at the back of the installation manual. Installation of this system can take as little as 2 hours and will not require floor levels to be raised. It is the perfect choice for heating spaces that have a lot of fixtures or corners i.e. bathrooms or conservatories with curved walls. Installation of the loose wire system also benefits from a single connection lead. These kits come complete, in the box you will find the heating wire, primer, tape, roller and foam, and the installation manual. Thermostats or insulation boards are not included and may need to be purchased separately.
Installing The Warmup Loose Wire System
Similar to the StickyMat system, the Loose wire kits are designed for use under tiles and natural stone flooring types (ceramic, quarry or natural stone tiles). If the heating element is being laid directly onto a plywood or concrete subfloor, its advised to use the primer supplied to ensure the cable sticks to the floor. If Warmup insulation boards are used or tile backer boards, no primer will be required.
The Warmup loose wire heating cable is produced from an ultra-thin dual-core wire that is highly flexible and coated in the thinnest dual-fluoropolymer. The cable is BEAB approved and meets the highest safety standards. It is also backed by a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer.
The loose wire kit does not come with a thermostat as standard, and will need to be purchased separately in order for you to control your heating system. Similar to the StickyMat kit, the loose wire kits are compatible with all of the Warmup thermostats, including the 4iE and 3iE energy efficient thermostats. It is important the correct stat is chosen based upon your requirements to ensure you get the most out of your heating system. More information can be found on our Warmup thermostat page.
