Manrose WF230

The Manrose range of 230mm (9") extractor fans is suitable for window or wall mounting and cover a wide variety of domestic and commercial applications including kitchens, utility rooms, pubs, restaurants, offices, shops and factories.

Incorporating the latest technology and design these high performance extractor fans are easy to install and are attractively styled in high gloss ABS thermoplastics for durability and ease of cleaning.

There are three models in this range. The basic model with fixed louvres, the manual model with internal pullcord operated backdraught shutters, and the automatic model with thermo-activated internal shutters which open automatically when the fan is switched on.

WF230 Series
The WF230 Series basic model has fixed louvres and comes with or without pullcord switch. This unit will also provide a natural source of trickle flow ventilation when the fan is switched off.

WF230M Series
The manual models have pullcord operated internal backdraught shutters, which also start the fan motor unit.

Variable speed option is also available on the WF230 basic and manual versions using our fan speed controller. Catalogue No. 1350.

WF230A Series
The automatic versions have thermo-activated shutters which open silently approximately 45 seconds after the fan has been switched on.

Reversible speed controllers are available for the WF230A.

The WF230 Series is designed for window fitting through a standard 260mm ø hole and can also be wall mounted using our wall fixing kit Catalogue No. 1301.

The WF230 Series is supplied pre-wired with 1.5m of 2 core cable and all models come complete with window gasket.

On the WF230A Series, if reversible/variable or two speed control is used, a five core cable will be required (available separately), enabling the fan to intake or extract at variable speeds. NOTE: Do not use standard variable speed control on automatic range. (Cat No. 1350.)

Construction

These fans are moulded in impact resistant high gloss ABS thermoplastics for strength, durability and finish.

Electrical

220-240V ~ A.C. 50Hz ns. Single phase consuming 60 watts on the 230 Series and 80 watts on the 230A Series. These fans are double insulated and do not require an earth. All wiring must comply with current IEE regulations. A double pole isolating switch, having a contact separation of at least 3mm in all poles, must be used with a 3 amp fuse fitted. The fan must not be accessible to a person using either the shower or the bath and mounted a minimum of 1.8 metres from the floor.

Motor

4 pole single phase induction motor with pre-oiled bearings fitted for a long maintenance free life and protected by a thermal auto resetting cut-out. Totally enclosed for protection against dust and dirt. Motors are continually rated.

Installation

WF230 Series. These fans are designed to be fitted in a window through a standard 260mm ø hole. A wall fixing kit catalogue No. 1301 is also available for through wall mounting which comprises of wall plugs, screws and a 400mm length of 9" diameter aluminum flexible ducting (when extended).
