Installing Aqualisa Thermo Showers
Requirements for all Thermo Shower Installations
- If plastic pipework if used, the tube insert must not increase the diameter, or extend the cut off length by more than 2mm
- Suitable isolation valves MUST be fitted to both supplies
- Hot water temperature must not exceed 65°C
- 15mm push fit connections are incorporated
Gravity System
- Pipework should be run in 22mm pipe as close to the valve as possible before reducing to 15mm
- If an adjustable height head is fitted, the distance between the shower head and the bottom of the cold water storage cistern should be not less than 1m
- If a fixed head is fitted, the distance between the shower head and the bottom of the cold water storage cistern should be not less than 1m
- Minimum capacity of the cold water storage cistern should not be less than 225 litres (50 gallons). The capacity of the hot water cylinder must be capable of meeeting anticipated demand.

Unvented High Pressure System
- Pipework should be run in 15mm

Thermal Storage Unit System
- Pipework should be run in 15mm

Combination boiler system
- Pipework should be run in 15mm
- The combination boiler must have a minimum rating of 24kW (80,000 Btu) and be of the type fitted with a fully modulating gas valve

Separately Pumped Gravity System
- Pipework should be run in 22mm pipe as close as possible to the valve before reducing down to 15mm
- Minimum capacity of the cold water storage cistern should be not less than 225 litres (50 gallons). The capacity of the hot water cylinder must be capable of meeting anticipated demand.
- Under no circumstances must a pump be fitted directly to the water main
